A Community Respite Ministry of Isle of Hope UMCFellowship, joy, and care for those living with memory loss.
Our Respite Program is a unique ministry that provides fellowship and stimulation for people who have memory loss due to Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, or stroke — and support for the families that love them.

A morning of joy, purpose, and song.
Trained program directors and volunteers provide supervision, lead engaging activities, and share a nutritious lunch — giving participants, whom we lovingly call our Friends, a safe, welcoming place to thrive as part of our community.
Stimulating activities
Music, crafts, storytelling, and games designed to engage memory, mood, and the imagination.
Caring fellowship
Friends enjoy fellowship in a warm, judgment-free community — the highlight of many weeks.
Respite for families
A trusted few hours where caregivers can rest, run errands, or simply breathe.

The difference it has made.
The Hope Arbor Respite Program is the highlight of my husband's week. The volunteers meet him at the door with smiles. He is accepted, encouraged, and feels loved.
The singing has brought joy into his life. I hear him singing the old hymns he loves all during the day — and he actually remembers the words!
So thankful God led me to the Hope Arbor ministry. It is such a blessing being with everyone. So rewarding.
